Our Story – Lilia Copenhagen Vegan Makeup

Lilia Copenhagen was born out of love, responsibility, and a vision for a better world—a world where beauty doesn’t compromise health, the environment, or animal welfare.

As a single mother, I’ve always prioritized the well-being of my two daughters. Watching them grow, I often thought about the potential risks of inexpensive beauty products with questionable ingredients. Truly natural, safe, and ethical makeup can often come with a high price—something many young people may find difficult to afford.

The second spark of inspiration came from my beloved Labrador, Nala. Becoming a dog owner opened my eyes to the importance of animal welfare and the responsibility we have to protect the creatures we share our world with.

With these values in mind, I envisioned Lilia Copenhagen: a vegan beauty brand where quality meets affordability, and care for people, animals, and the planet is part of every decision.

Lilia Copenhagen reflects the values I hold dear as a mother, a pet owner, and a believer in natural beauty. Our products are dermatologically tested, 100% vegan, and free from parabens, talc, and silicone. With between 85.6% and 99% natural ingredients, we combine nature’s benefits with advanced European innovation.

Our lip glosses are developed and produced in Denmark, while our mascaras, lip tints, blushes, and highlighters are made in Italy—ensuring high quality and full compliance with EU standards. We chose local production to support transparency and accountability, and to enable more sustainable processes as we grow.

We have already taken steps toward more responsible packaging, including lip gloss tubes made from sugarcane-based bioplastic. Our goal is to gradually transition to certified, recyclable, and environmentally conscious packaging across all product lines.

We plan to donate 2% yearly of our revenue to initiatives that support environmental responsibility and animal welfare once we reach a stable revenue level.
